Our Biggera Waters and Tweed Heads clinics are equipped with HICAPs facilities, enabling you to make an immediate claim for treatment if you have your health fund card with you at the time of your visit. If your cover does not allow you to use the HICAPs facility you will be required to pay for the full amount of the visit. You can then take your receipt to your health fund for clarification of entitlements. Splints cannot be claimed immediately under HICAPs so you will need to pay for the full amount at the time of the visit. WORKCOVER/INSURANCE FUNDING WorkCover, Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Allianz, GIO, QBE and other independent Insurers have their own schedule of fees, and costs of treatment are billed directly to the fund. |

| We use low temperature thermoplastic materials, which come in different colours and thicknesses. These are selected according to the patient and injury. | |

| The material is heated in hot water until it is malleable and then moulded over the affected limb. It is cut to size and allowed to cool and set. | |

| The splint is then secured with velcro staps, so it is removable. It can be reheated at a later date to adjust the splint for ongoing comfort and support. | |
