HAND THERAPY

Hand Therapists are Occupational therapists or Physiotherapists who specialise in the management of hand and upper limb conditions. They have had further education and clinical experience in the assessment and management of hand and upper limb rehabilitation.

Hand Therapists have skills in the fabrication of custom made splinting.

In Australia an accredited hand therapist (MAHTA – Member of Australian Hand Therapy Association) has achieved full membership with the Australian hand therapist Association (AHTA) through demonstration of these skills and knowledge.

GOLD COAST HAND THERAPY (GCHT)

Our goal is to restore hand function.
We work closely with hand surgeons, GP’s and hospitals, providing post operative care and conservative management plans.
We treat privately paying customers, workcover, DVA and other independent insurer’s clients.
